“I really enjoy the Harry Potter universe and the podcast theme of delving deeper into the characters, plot details and interesting points of each book. I also love hearing the perspectives of younger black women like myself.
To critique, I would say that many times the banter comes across as distracting so one possible solution might be to edit the show further for a more focused experience for listeners. There are also times when one person seems to talk over the other. Please try to be mindful that listeners want to hear the full spectrum of ideas, thoughts and opinions so each person deserves their chance to speak.
Also, the “Harry is not a Ravenclaw” jokes and the comments about how Harry is not intelligent/doesn’t think well can come across as grating.
It could be that this is a running joke for the show, but it bears mentioning that many readers love the main character, Harry, and don’t necessarily find these type of comments enjoyable. Personally, I don’t find it offensive, but I do consider it an nuisance in an otherwise very interesting show.
