There's a lot going on in the world right now. Between racism, classism, sexism, the pandemic, monkey pox, inflation, the recession it literally feels like somebody is trying to break our souls. In this week's 2 part episode, we are discussing the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, what the landmark decision means for women and the hopes to achieve true equality in this country, what the Bible says about abortion, and the danger in allowing personal faith/religious beliefs to influence legislation.
This week joining us is educator and founder of The BIPOC Teachers Lounge, Brenda Aviles. Brenda candidly shares her own abortion story, she discusses some of the challenges she faces as an educator of color, why she left the NYC DOE and how she tested God multiple times on her faith journey just to see if he was really bout it, bout it.
