Why Wait? How the Humanitarian System Can Better Fund Women-Led and Women’s Rights Organizations
Listen now
Description
In this episode, we talk about a report issued by International Rescue Committee that looks at the ability of women-led and women’s rights organizations that work to protect and empower women and girls in emergencies to access humanitarian pooled funds. We're joined by three contributors to the report, Daria Chekalova, from the Ukrainian NGO Girls, Carina Chicet, from the UK think tank Development Initiatives and Brianna Guidorzi, from IRC, who discuss the intersectional challenges these organisations face in their fundraising, even when it comes to funding mechanisms that are supposed to support local actors. To read the full report, visit "Why Wait?
