A good overview, could use more true knowledge
I have been following Jeff and his podcast for years, and liked it for his ability to keep up with what’s happening in the WordPress world (though mostly US-centric). Jeff is not an expert, but has the humility to acknowledge it and to bring in great people as guests. Some time ago Sarah Gooding became Jeff’s co-host, and made a great difference despite Jeff not always letting her in om the conversation. Sarah contributed something really valuable – true deep knowledge of WordPress. Since a few months she unfortunately has been replaced by Marcus Couch, radio-voice, seo/affiliate guy, self-appointed ”plugin guru” and ”plugin critic”. He brings with him a grand self-appreciation and a somewhat dangerous lack of understanding of the code behind the plugins he reviews. The show lost two stars there. Jeff in combination with an expert is a good concept, this situation is not.

More reviews of WP Tavern
The addition of Jtrip JJJ has been excellent. It adds a new dynamic to the show that is both entertaining and informative. The show is always top notch! WordPress weekly is a fun and quick way to keep up with many of the moving parts of the WordPress ecosystem.

Jeff and Marcus host one of the best WordPress podcasts out there. This is a long running show that stays up-to-date on the news and the WordPress community. Sometimes Jeff will suprise you by asking his guests some hard hitting questions wanting to get to know the real story behind the story....Read full review »

If you use WordPress, WordPress Weekly is essential listening. They talk to just about everyone that is important in the Wp community and then some. Heck, just the plugin picks of the week are worth the price of admission. Also, you gotta appreciate them for their love of deep-dish pizza! ;)
