Where we had the pleasure of hosting best-selling author James (Jim) Hornfischer, so he could discuss his book, “Ship of Ghosts: The Story of the USS Houston.” For which earned Jim the United States Maritime Literature Award.   Jim was a dear friend and frequent speaker at the Museum, and though we were all saddened by his passing in 2021, we are honored to be able to continue sharing his vast knowledge and passion for the subject of the US Navy in World War II.
