After following Russia, by introducing an anti-gay propaganda law, Hungary is again drawing the ire of the international community. Last year, Hungary’s parliament passed a law making it impossible for transgender or intersex people to legally change their gender. And earlier this month, the country’s Constitutional Court backflipped to back the law.
To find out what the passage of these anti-trans laws means in Hungary and how the LGBTIQ community is responding, we are joined by Luca Dudits, Executive Board member and communications officer at The Hatter Society – Hungary’s oldest LGBTIQ advocacy organisation.
