USA: Fighting a Cavalcade of Texan Anti-LGBT Laws
Listen now
Description
There is no doubt that there is a global attack on Trans people with anti-Trans laws and rhetoric continuing to grow. And if there is a front line, perhaps it is the US state of Texas. Whether it is a bill to remove gender affirming care or political directives to investigate parents for child abuse if they supported their Trans child with transitioning, the Texas parliament is on the attack. Despite this, our guest in this podcast insists that most Texans are accepting and progress has been made in LGBTIQ rights. But rights won can be rights lost. So Johnathan Gooch is part of the team at Equality Texas fighting against a cavalcade of anti-LGBT laws.
