Soooo very late to the party
Accidental discovery on BBC 6 Radio only about a year or so ago. Live in NYC so my typical Saturday morning was watching the footy followed bouncing around town, running errands listening to Craig Charles Funk & Soul (another great accidental discovery). One Saturday, no football probably due to an international break so I tune in earlier than usual and find this guy playing all sorts of interesting music — not all my taste but these things are personal. He was interviewing some DJ from Manchester I think who has been a big influence on the scene for decades. That was it. I was hooked. Now I download Gilles every week so I can listen to the show whenever I want. Didn’t know he’d been such an influence on Acid Jazz either, a format I happen like very much. He’s simply just terrific

Gilles has been an inspiration to me for almost 20 years now. I am both entertained and educated by the work that Gilles does. Thank you!.

Das ist ein sehr abwechslungsreicher super aufgebauter Podcast mit einigen musikalischen Perlen. Wahnsinn, wie Gilles diese Musik zusammenträgt. Gibt jedes Mal wieder neue Musik zu entdecken.
