GLOBAL IMMUNIZATION EFFORTS - A FRIDGE THAT CAN SAVE MILLIONS | GERMANTECH: WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH

Description
We are all waiting for a, if not “the”, CoVid-19 cure. Hopefully a long-standing one in the form of a vaccine, but what sounds like the obvious solution in developed countries is far from the truth in third world countries where getting basic medical care is even a challenge. Julia, CEO of COOLAR, and her team from Berlin want to change just that with their electricity-independent medical refrigerators. Around 1.2 billion people worldwide lack access to electricity, another 1 billion receive as little as 2 hours a day. Kerosene, battery, and fossil fuel-powered technologies are outdated, costly and energy inefficient. Consistency and reliability of the cold chain, refrigeration, are essential to safely store vaccines and medicines anywhere in the world!
