Description
Marie Brennan and Alyc Helms (collaborating as M. A. Carrick) return to talk about the second book in their “Rook & Rose” fantasy trilogy, The Liar’s Knot.
Marie & Alyc talk about the growth of continuing their collaboration, focusing more on the three main protagonists/characters, deepening their personalities and the intrigues, and watching the characters move through the secrets that have already been revealed to the readers.
They also talk about laying the groundwork for the surprises to come in the third and final book, and building them to happen in the right places and times in the story for everything to come together just right.
The Liar’s Knot will be out Dec 7th in the US, and Dec 9th in the UK from Orbit Books, and you can join the author’s Discord server in order to dive more into the game, the story and spoilers!
