Essential
Highbrow horror. Stories with wit and often a dollop of dark humor. Original plot lines. I mean, take The Jannisary for example. A story from a woman’s POV of a failed date with a man who, as it ends up, is a lonely 500 year-old jannisary vampire, for whom consummation of the date would have been feeding on her had he not mustered up forbearance. Love it.
