Sadly rapidly deteriorating
This used to be a thoughtful analysis of the news through the conservative viewpoint of the WSJ editorial page. However, it is increasingly an 3X/week apologia for the personal conduct of President Trump. POTUS will send out a non-factual tweet and then the WSJ editorial board works feverishly to try and justify it. For example, listen to the recent episode focusing on the justification of Trump’s comments that California firefighters don’t have enough water as it is being allowed to flow into the Pacific which WSJ somehow turns into a diatribe against electric car subsidies in the state. No mention that the President could consider visiting the devastated areas and console those who lost property, friends and loved ones. WSJ seems to forget that the ends do not justify the means and the Trump’s ends include attacks on the press, a coarsening of public discourse, a splintering of the GOP and its Pro-business policies and the likely election of a Progressive Democratic president backed by majorities in Congress. Is that really worth a tax cut bill? We can only hope this podcast will revert to at least a moral middle ground after the current President is no longer in office.

All politics is a cesspool and these guys act like it's the hot tub at the Mayflower. Interesting how far from the facts they are willing to stray to justify the conservative's moves. Way, way beneath WSJ standards.Read full review »
