“I drive for some crappy delivery company that exploits the entire world so I listen to a lot of music and podcasts every day. I searched over the course of a few years for a good X-men TAS podcast because I am an old dork and every single one has been mediocre at best but usually worse. X-Boyz is literally my favorite show of this year. I binged everything and just caught up to episode 6 of X-men 97 because it’s so good. The humor is right up my alley, the audio drops are things I’ve thought were funny for decades and the conversation is multifaceted with serious points that lend gravitas to the show and also humorous because a conversation without any humor is grating. Finding the balance between “well in the comics…” and “yeah I like this show” is so difficult and these guys nail it. I appreciate this show on a few levels. Now catching up…
Favorite xman is Wolverine, favorite Taco Bell order is Crunchwrap supreme sub beef for chicken, no cheese and add potato, favorite episode is days of the future and because I can’t refuse a plug if you’re giving them out, check out my band Extinction A.D. and our new EP Ruthless Intent if you like metal. If you don’t, enjoy the destinies child cover from a few episodes ago. Also, not visiting NY is fine. Born and raised here on Long Island and living here again and it’s way more redneck than you would think, it’s too expensive and everyone pretends like they’re a hard dude because in the 70s it was tough. You’re much better on Genosha because it seemingly only rains when storm moans about it as opposed to here where it rains 25 hours a day. A+ show.”
