“I feel like I’ve died and gone to the Elysian Fields. This podcast is 3 parts epic Xena indulgence, 1 part NYU film school master class, 1 part history/Greek mythology greatness and 1 part the most meaningful dissection and analysis of this show’s storytelling I have ever heard. The insight, time and research this team put in to break down why this show is so amazing is phenomenal and very appreciated. During the pandemic, I decided to watch Xena for the first time in about 10 years and remembered how impactful this story was on me. In searching around for answers why, I landed upon Vera, Livy and Katie’s analysis, which is just spot on. Their many skills point out a lot of pieces I missed, which furthered the story for me and taught me a lot more about choices the show made and why, which helps me in my own writing. (I guess I no longer need to attend the Athens City Academy of the Performing Bards.) I’m so thankful for all the work they’ve done as well as the laughs they provided. Thank you!”
