Sara Hudson is back for a follow-up interview after a job change where she’s now working on the benefits operations team at Google. She's still based out of her same home office just outside of Houston, Texas, but she made a leap and said goodbye to the company she had been at for 15 years. In the past couple of years, Sara has also gone from being relatively new to LinkedIn to seeing the power it has for job seekers and recruiters to find each other and attributes the connections she made through Linkedin to her ability to find a relatively lateral position that doubles her previous salary. In this episode, Sara tells her story about how she went from applying at smaller companies to interviewing for a position at Google and how it felt for her as someone who works in HR to go through the interviewing and hiring process. She is now onboarding with a company where she will help make sure that the benefits materials are clear and easy to navigate for new hires.
