Description
It’s the mid-19th century. On a slave plantation in Kentucky, Lewis and Harriet Hayden begin a daring escape for freedom. After days of travelling in secret on trains and horse carriages, they make it to their new home, in Boston. Their house soon becomes a place of sanctuary for others escaping enslavement, including the couple Ellen and William Craft. But the Hayden’s house cannot protect them from an outside world of hate that always threatens to break in. One day, two slave catchers sent by the Crafts’ owner show up at the Hayden’s doorstep. They’ve found them. A Sony Music Entertainment production.
