Happy New Year from You, Me, and a Poltergeist! We hope everyone had a very safe holiday season! Braydon starts the episode by discussing the cursed head of rebel samurai, Taira no Masakado. The samurai lived in the 10th century and after defeating many of the enemies who rose against him, he was believed to be both immortal and a demi-god. The samurai's luck ran out when the emperor of Japan sent an army against his and had him killed and decapitated, but his head was said to be magical in nature. The location it is buried is said to be cursed by Masakado's revenge, and many odd occurrences have happened around the shrine. Belinda goes on to discuss the South Shields poltergeist, and its reported "Toy Fetish". The rude poltergeist was renowned for tossing small objects, intimidating and berating the home owners with expletives, and leaving menacing stuffed animals out to scare the household. Things really started to kick off when the home owners brought in paranormal investigators!   See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
