In our first episode of the HIFMB-Podcast, Jan-Claas Dajka interviews ecologist Josie Antonucci Di Carvalho. Josie works on the harmonisation of how phytoplankton is sampled in the German and Dutch Wadden Sea and we discuss her recent work in this EU-funded subsidy programme called “INTERREG”. Josie also has an exciting career path that led her out of and back into academia as she has a tonne of experience in working with wildlife stations in Brazil, her homeland, and Germany, where she lives now.
