“I’ve been fascinated with the Manson murders ever since I saw the original Helter Skelter miniseries on TV as a teenager, and this podcast does an amazing job of filling in a lot of he gaps that helped shape Charles Manson into the psychopath he became.
Unfortunately, the time-shifting between the “young Charlie” narrative, and the post-Tate/LaBianca murders is distracting, and would be better suited for video rather than radio.
Anyone who’s seen Helter Skelter, or read the book on which it was based, is familiar with the murder itself, and most of this narrative would have been better to bookend the series as Episode Zero and Epilogue episodes.”
