432: Changing Companies and Starting Over at 52

Description
Today I have a special episode for you. I’m sharing an interview that I did with a client of ours who has been a really important member of our community for quite some time, Kim Lima. In this episode, Kim talks about her journey of starting over and changing companies, after she built a successful business over more than a decade with her previous company. You’ll hear how Kim did this in a season of big change in her life, and she reveals her thoughts before and after moving from a company that she no longer felt passionate about or aligned with. This wasn’t an easy decision for Kim to make at the age of 52, but not only did she make the move, but in less than a year she has been able to build a business that rivals the previous one she built over many years!  This conversation Kim and I have is a very important one. I want to normalise the idea of changing companies, and this is something that not a lot of people talk about or it is often viewed as being something negative or bad to do. I don’t necessarily believe this is true, and as Kim’s story proves, there absolutely are certain times and situations when changing companies is the right thing to do. This is something that only you can answer for yourself, but what I feel really matters is the way you go about doing it, in the right way as Kim has done. If you’re considering making a change, hopefully this episode gives you the other side of the story to help you make an educated decision that is the right one for you and your family!
