There’s something very strange about a white reporter making numerous podcasts about white people in harms way in different conflicts in Africa…yet not covering the conflicts or ongoing harm to the actual communities ravaged by this violence. Centering white people stories IN AFRICA is off putting.

This podcast had an interesting topic but seemed to get lost with what it wanted it’s narrative to achieve. It could have delved into the corporate side a lot more; properly researched why the companies didn’t help but it failed to get to that point… overall, it just feel like a lost opportunity

Great podcast. Really enjoy listening to this journalist as she tells the story with sensitivity and empathy.
