The host takes his time to explain how he plans to unfold the case why and addresses concerns the audience may have. He lets the victims tell the story without uncut audio. So much respect and care is given and I really appreciate it’s obviously a life's work and not just for clicks.Read full review »

I’m so wanting to get into season 4 but I’m tuning out unfortunately I can’t follow the family’s trains of thought 😩

First time listener, nearly 5 minutes into my first episode and the host is still rambling about the podcast format, newsletters, and how to recommend the podcast to others. Not a great way to get listeners invested. Save that for ad breaks or show notes.

The host centers himself and doesn’t seem to edit anything. There’s dead space EVERYWHERE. The pace is torturous. What in the world is happening here?

I love this podcast particularly Series 3. I have no idea what the one star reviewers are talking about I guess they are just miserable bastards. Keep going Ryan, you are doing a great job and hope all your work pays off!!

Amazing! This podcast is so incredibly well done. One of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to actually (& I’ve listened to nearly all the true crime podcasts)

This podcast is equal parts nauseating and infuriating. Season 1 is 9 hrs & 5 mins. Season 2 is 20 hrs & 40 mins. Season 3 is 29 hrs & 46 mins. Brief they are not! Ultimately, they come to nothing. The stories move with the speed of a snail with emphysema. A sickening amount of the...Read full review »

Excellent True crime story telling at its best

A sad and fascinating story but the podcast is just far too long, so much tramping which doesn’t transfer well to a podcast, and so much repetition. Even sped up to 1.25 there’s just far too much pausing and ponderous words that eventually become a sentence.

The topics are really interesting but Ryan spends a lot of time talking about himself and what will be revealed next episode… makes it feel like a grift.

Excellent podcast for all you crime junkies! Ryan is empathetic and compassionate in his narration and the stories are REAL AF! In the words of Molly Meldrum , do yourself a favour! No, I’m not on the payroll 😜

I’m just loving these podcasts … Ryan does an incredible job - He asks the questions I want to hear the answers to and he listens to the people he interviews.. doesn’t talk over them… Just brilliant

Great podcast and very easy to listen to. I hope Alanas family get justice. Thanks for bringing awareness to the case Ryan, love your kiwi accent, so easy to listen to you!

This guys voice drives me mad for some reason. Also he repeats the same things over and over and goes on about how hard he works. I just can’t get into it. Sorry

Ryan Wolf's cold case true crime podcast ‘Guilt’ is an engrossing journey into the mysteries of Australia and New Zealand. His meticulous research and captivating storytelling breathe life into forgotten cases, leaving listeners on the edge of their seats. With each episode, Wolf cleverly...Read full review »

Mate the intro to episode one went on for nearly half the episode talking about yourself and then some random chick who”went to primary school” with Alana.

Here we go again Ryan has found yet another case that is far from being black and white. I cannot wait to see what examining all the rabbit holes reveal. But mostly I love the way he keeps the impacted parties close to us so we feel the his deep desire to find answers for those that deserve it....Read full review »

Currently in the middle of S3, a totally compelling listen about a murder case I remember so clearly from my childhood.

As sad as the story is, I’m looking forward to this season, hopefully a result for justice for Alana ♥️

Well worth listening to all seasons. I felt like I was at each location (to do that well takes a talented narrator/writer). The stories were from true mysteries that at the time they happened and the years afterwards many of us wondered what really happened. Good to hear that these cases have had...Read full review »

Series 3 on the murder of Swedish backpackers Sven Urban and Heidi Paarkonen is so well researched. Respect to Ryan Wolf for the time and effort put into this brilliant piece of investigative journalism as he embarks on a journey to find Heidi’s missing body

One of these podcasts is close to what was once home for me. Ryan does a fair and thorough analysis of multiple angles. His genuine passion for the truth had me hooked instantly. Thank you for your hard work.

I have never written a review before, but just had to for this podcast. Ryan’s research and respect he has for this double homicide that has plagued New Zealand’s history is outstanding! You must listen!

Im loving this podcast if finding heidi, and heard in one episode your coming to Australia. I was raised in Stanthorpe so this case is pretty upsetting. Its the horrible story of 2 nurses who went on an adventure and were horribly raped and murdered and no one was ever charged. The book the echoe...Read full review »

Appreciated Ryan’s attempt at addressing the pronunciation in the second episode, but after that, the only correctly pronounced word seems to be Tamihere… and his reasoning for not pronouncing any other Māori words correctly felt very lazy. I guess this reflects the attitude of many NZers. The...Read full review »

Interesting content but I feel like Ryan wants a particular outcome so pushes that angle and never really provides a counter perspective with equal weight. I’m 3 episodes in to season 3. I started listening a few days ago. Have been sick over the Christmas period and found this so have been sitting listening pretty much continuously since i started. It’s absolutely captivating!!!

Dude wants this to be a top shelf production, but it falls short of even good. It’s pretty cringe, really. Badly written, none too flash sound design, no real narrative. Do your self a favour: don’t.

Ryan puts a lot of work into each episode, he takes it personal and this makes this podcast so good. Gripping and heart wrenching at times Amazing how so many people still come forward after such a long time.

While well researched, this series is very repetitive and too long. It needs strong editing to create a tighter, more compelling listening experience.
