Well presented and engaging
Interesting podcast (season 2). Evidence points to mental illness, whether one with a slow onset or as a result of brain trauma arising from the crash. Reminds me of the Rey Rivera case which also involved a sudden fascination with the Freemasons and is now widely believed to be a suicide. The podcast is engaging and well presented overall. One thing I didn’t appreciate was the host’s reference to Jim’s children being a reason to live, thus making suicide unlikely. Research shows that suicide is almost always the result of mental illness or distress and is not something that can be rationally explained by an outsider. Everyone who commits suicide has a reason to live and loves or is loved by someone. So I just thought it was a bit of an ignorant comment about the psychology of suicide that perpetuates stereotypes and is not helpful in getting the audience to better understand mental illness.

Lot of talking to relatives merely to honour the victims, which ends up in a mire of pseudo-thearapy. It’s well...Read full review »
