“You had me listening intently until your guest Dr. Kolondy started talking. It was all I could do to continue to the end. He and PROP are evil and one of the driving forces to rid ALL opioid pain medications from the medical community. It’s not just family doctors, but pain management doctors are being threatened to not prescribe opioid pain medications. Pain patients and veterans are losing access to pain medications and left to suffer. Dr. Kolondy would like you to believe that after taking 1 (one), opioid pain pill you will become addicted. If that were true there would be millions of people addicted to opioids. When patients choose not to follow the rules, not to take the prescription as prescribed by their doctor, as Tony did, there may be consequences; he choose to smoke the pills. WRONG! No prescription is written for the patient to smoke it. Fast forward 2011-2016 when Dr. Kolondy and PROP come full force on the scene and thousands of pain patients and veterans have lost access to their pain medications, suicides due to unmanaged chronic pain begin increasing. Research why veterans suicide numbers have been increasing in recent years and be prepared to be enlightened and saddened. In recent years opioid pain prescriptions have been decreasing, yet heroin, fentanyl and cocaine continue to increase at alarming rates. Tony eventually gets drugs from his son; did Conner start with an opioid pain prescription before transitioning to heroin? Pray you or a loved one doesn’t ever have an excruciating injury, illness or accident (btw you are one minute away, one day away), that would require a medication as strong as an opiate to get through the night, work the next day, or recover from surgery. You will have only one person to thank. If he has his way and succeeds, the USA will have ZERO opioid pain medications on the market within five years. That is his number one goal.”
