The storytelling is good but listening to a man who participated in a bank robbery but denied it for years because he was waiting for the statute of limitations to run out was a LOT. Additionally to hear Tony complain about being roughly handled by police while being arrested on suspicion of...Read full review »

I appreciate Tony and his family for sharing their story. This shows how the Sackler family easily destroyed one’s high ranking career, how a white collar worker’s injury plunged him into a life of abuse and crime. This also tells how abuse affected his child, from the perspective of life...Read full review »

This is a fantastic podcast. It really brings the human element into the opioid crisis that we’ve all heard about. Everyone has a story and this one is fascinating. It really makes you think about criminal acts and what might be behind driving those. Rarely is a situation black or white and this...Read full review »

Loved this podcast! Tony is such a likable guy, it was so sad to hear about his downward spiral. I'm really rooting for him and Connor. Josh did a great job interviewing and telling the story (he's got a great voice too)Read full review »

Interesting story about a “good guy” hooked on oxy because of the “bad guy” pharmaceutical companies and how his life was turned upside down to keep hooked. Thanks for the program

Good story and well produced but the objectivity is questionable and despite the host being honest about that at the end, it does impact the way this story is told. Also the last recap episode is awful. Whoever is doing the interview just reads through a list of questions and gives vacuous...Read full review »

This series plays with one’s feelings. One is sorry for the bank tellers who he robbed and at the same time sorry and empathetic with the main subject who found himself in his situation. Each episode just got better and better. I didn’t want it to end!

Listening to the father and son talk about robbing the bank and laughing about it. Not funny. Mom/wife also blames father when her adult son was the one who introduced his father to heroin.

I binged this podcast in one go! It got me “hooked” right from the start and even with all the tragedy Josh manages to outline and transport Tony’s positive attitude. I genuinely enjoyed every episode and I hope everything will turn out positive for the Hathaways.

As a sibling to a drug addict who sadly lost his life last month this was very eye opening. It helped me understand addiction and how a good life can unravel due to the ravages of addiction. I hope Tony and Connor keep doing the hard work of recovery! Excellent podcast.

Found this great one after listening to White Devil. Yes, I’m always late to anything new! Absolutely loved this podcast- what I did not care for was the woe is me factor you put forth while Tony was in jail or he “had to be there, all alone” while he fought his case.
