Great Podcast for parents and grans
I’ve listened to 3 podcasts so far after following 1000 Hours Outside on Instagram for a while. Ginny Yurich is a terrific podcast host; she has great background info, asks thoughtful questions and is super easy to listen to as she interviews her fascinating guests. Her podcast about enjoying family life and words - I’m inspired by all of Sally’s words and those steps! Then the ‘how to keep technology in its place’ podcast ~ seriously, I had to take an emotional break when Andy said something like ‘once the candles are lit, no body wants to leave’! Also terrific is ‘Start With Hello’ ~ yep, many times I’ve felt so weird. For instance inviting neighbors to corner for coffee when inside wasn’t an option; a really validating conversation. I’m in the middle of Ginny’s interview with the Swedish Author who tell us how to keep playing outside even if it’s not a great weather day. Find and follow @1000HoursOutside on IG. I LOVE IG for this very reason ~ learning how to do life better! So thankful to follow this podcast!

When we moved in on our street the neighbor kid (4th grade) said “you guys are weird, you’re outside all the time.” We knew we wanted our kids to be outside and with friends, so now we just open the garage and the neighborhood kids...Read full review »
