The Gospel Of Sam 2: Prologue
Listen now
Description
In the tumultuous aftermath of Sam's emergence as a new deity, the world grapples with the dual scourges of "The Rage" and "The Rot," pandemics with devastating effects on humanity's mental and physical well-being. The Rage incites extreme aggression and dementia, while The Rot corrodes the body internally, spreading the diseases at an alarming rate. Originating from the city of Sam's godly ascent, these diseases are speculated to be linked with the malevolent entity Malice. Amidst this chaos, a charismatic political figure, Walter Bright, gains a significant following, advocating for a radical reshaping of societal norms and governance under the banner of Providence. His influence reveals a deeper, sinister identity as Lucifer, the fallen angel, now freed due to a loss of control by the demigod Cain. Cain, having absorbed Sam's divine essence unsuccessfully, struggles with his diminished powers and seeks redemption by confronting his failures and the havoc wrought by Lucifer's return. Lucifer's campaign against humanity, fueled by centuries of hatred and vengeance, threatens to obliterate human existence through warfare, disease, and societal collapse, making the dire situation a crucible for the fate of humanity and the divine entities entangled in its survival.
