“Actually it's almost not a podcast in the usual sense, because it is only cast about every 2 months, which leaves me impatiently waiting for the next installment. Mr. Brownworth presents an accessible, authoritative history of the Byzantine empire, in a clear almost conversational tone. It's sort of a cross between a lecture and an audiobook. I'm learning more about history, especially the late Roman empire, than I ever did in school. Please keep it up, Mr. Brownworth, and when you finish with the 12 Byzantine rulers, please go on to other enlightening topics! Thanks!”Read full review »
