Favorite Historical Podcast
This is THE best, the one I can't wait for the new episode, the first one I listen to. (Thomas Lacoure's History 5 Lectures at the UC Berkley site are a close second, and Dan Carlin's Hardcore History is 3rd) There are a lot of history podcasts out there, and many of them are poorly researched or sound like they are being read by angry 4th graders. 12 B. Lars presents this podcast in a contagiously enthusiastic way with just the right amount of detail. Enough to get a thorough understanding of the subject – but not too much so as to get bored. Please please please do one on the western roman empire!

In the Western World, the Byzantine Empire has been much malined. However, this podcast has given me the opportunity to look at the history of the Roman Empire (Byzantine) in a fresh way.
