“I've been a history buff since high school (30 years ago), but I've never learned much about the Byzantine Empire. This is a wonderful podcast for someone who knows very little about the Empire, and for someone who knows a lot. Mr. Brownworth's method of teaching is to emphasize one person (emperor) for a lesson or two, which gives a good overview of the whole time period for which that person ruled.
