I just wrapped up the episode with Greg McKeown and takes a moment to speak on how books are mentors, that sentiment 100% applies for this podcast as well. The conversations Carl has with guests always display such a high level of knowledge. Carl is masterful at guiding conversations and having...Read full review »

Hard to put this into words … but after listening to Carl’s interviews, the sky seems bluer, the wind seems sweeter, and the sun a little brighter. He expands my mind and gives me helpful thoughts to think. I’m hooked.

I’m a huge fan of Carl Richards and these episodes are like dessert, a wonderful treat for sure. I love the variety in his guests and so appreciate their openness and honesty, which Carl seems to effortlessly coax out of them with his genuinely deep interest in their stories. Keep them coming!

As much as I ate up all of Carl’s Behavior Gap episodes for years, the long-form convos in 50 Fires nourish the soul. This show is also a master class in listening and in curiously digging deeper into what interviewees have to share.

Such a wonderful podcast. Huge Carl Richards fan. Following Pete Holmes, would love to hear a Jewish guest, well-versed in Talmud, Mishnah, Tanakh speak about how we are guided to be stewards of money.

It’s hard to listen to Carl without a pen and paper in front of me because there is so much wisdom. It’s so much more than money.

If you only listen to 1 podcast, it should be 50 Fires. I could give this a 7 star review I would! 50 Fires is the most important podcast about $ because it deals with the most important part of personal finance … the personal. That’s the important stuff that helps people really improve and yet...Read full review »

Carl asks some great questions I’ve never heard asked before. The conversations feel comfortable despite their novelty. My favorite aspect of this podcast is how Carl’s commentary is edited into the moments he finds most poignant to him and helps me to appreciate more some of what’s being said.

Some of the revelations were triggering, but also freeing. Recommended.

Carl’s content is always excellent. A true thinker. This episode is extraordinary I’ve listened twice and will listen again. I’ve never heard some one speak so clearly about her life and approach to money. Even Carl had to stop and ponder what was discussed. Great episode

Thoughtful & curious. Behind the curtain look at the way money moves and is considered in people’s lives. Love hearing how people feel about money when they’ve never shared a money story before. Sacred & lovely.

I just found this podcast & thoroughly enjoy it. The host is so easy to listen to & he asks great questions. I feel like I’m listening to two friends chatting rather than an interview. Keep bringing more episodes!

Carl does a great job of asking questions and the reason I really enjoy this podcast and have listened to every episode so far is his excellence in asking questions. I’m looking forward to learning from him as he continues to put out new episodes.

Carl Richards is the heartbeat of what financial services can and should be. It would take way more than 50 fires worth of conversations to fully appreciate the wisdom he has to share. Even still, this podcast is an excellent start.

Bring in the financial planning business I see first hand the impact of how we all can enjoy more when we get clearer about your personal values and how they intersect with money. Great content!

A few months ago, I began asking God to shift my perspective on money and to guide me to resources (books, podcasts, articles) that affirmed this goal. I was close to paying off my six figures in student debt (now gone!!) and yet I was MORE preoccupied with the prospect of having more, getting...Read full review »

In this podcast, Carl does what he does best- Ask deep questions and keeps probing till he gets to the true answers. This podcast is not only great for Wealth Advisors and their clients but also everyone else out there seeking answers around their true intentions around money.

This review is specific to How Much Money is Enough with Bryce Roberts, a venture capitalist. This was hard to listen to as Bryce scoffs at the “poor” people (any one who can survive on $250,000 and below). So disappointing.

Like everyone else, I grew up with the solid belief that you absolutely do not talk about money. It’s great to have a show focusing on talking about those things that we all should be talking about and we’re told not to!

Awesome concept for a show, conversations go all over the place and very little of the advice is actionable or helpful. First episode was great, listened to 2 which was pretty boring and 3 which is very god focused. Done for now; we'll check back in a few months to see if they find a stride...Read full review »

Excited to hear more from Carl. He asks the “right” questions about money and the human condition. And glad Michael Kitces can’t interrupt him and talk over him as he does on his other podcast Kitces and Carl.

Thank you for bringing money, emotion, and meaning into the light. Money is rarely discussed in our culture and needs to be. Carl excels at holding space with empathy while guests peel back layers of the onion and process their own money stories. I can’t wait for the next 🔥.
