Has Potential
We really enjoy Leon Neyfakh on his other podcasts (Slow Burn and Fiasco) so were excited for this one. Suffice it to say: we gave it a shot. The subject matter has so much promise but the turgid cursing was hard to get past. These hosts have a lot of potential, and we still believe this could very well turn into one of the best podcasts of 2020. Suggestion from our history podcast-loving household: more information, less persiflage.

I’m a political science PhD student at University of Chicago. I study the courts. I saw this podcast recommended on Twitter. After listening to the first episode, I’m not sure why. It’s mean-spirited, not particularly nuanced, and the hosts aren’t nearly as funny as they think they are.

I’ve had a hard time finding a podcast that discusses court cases in a way that is both informative and funny, and this one does just that while also pointing out the paradoxes and general b.s. of the Supreme Court. Can’t wait...Read full review »
