Uneasy Listening
Growing up in the 80s was a musical revelation. It had everything and I am always quietly pleased that the decade was much maligned in the following decades. It is nigh on 40 years on that the gems of that decade are being re-evalued. 80sography is undoubtedly my podcast find since the pandemic started. An eye for details and an ear for the mainstream projects and musical geniuses of the decade. My title references the finest interview with Langer and Winstanley I have ever heard. It’s uneasy listening and utterly brilliant. I did go and listen to Clive’s Hustle episode. It is also uneasy and not a patch on this interview. Being in the music industry since 93 I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the people referenced here and it’s a pleasure to have a well defined, researched and non-gushy evaluation of great albums and bands. Much respect

I enjoy the interviews, but the sound quality on some of them is so bad they’re unlistenable.

I love 80s music, but to be honest I think this podcast just gets music interviews and music discussion right regardless of the era. Some absolute gems here with producers opening up with some really candid stories about some classic albums. Highly recommended gem.
