Definitely for those obsessed with 1980s pop music
I originally found Mark’s podcast by trying to find any interviews with the notoriously quiet Ian Stanley. From here I just worked my way backwards and forwards through all of the other episodes. This turned out to be my podcast of the summer! Mark is at his best when he uses his encyclopaedic (trying to use UK spelling here) knowledge of 1980s music, and slyly slips it in without sounding like a “know-it-all”. Also, his interviews keep getting stronger and more polished per episode. Don’t worry, though, his wry sense of humour (UK spelling again) does not leave us even in the most recent episodes. Keep up the great work!

More reviews of 80sography
Probably my favourite pod for the really deep dives on so many of my favourite 80s bands. Getting the Engineer’s and producer’s perspective has made me rediscover so many classic albums by listening with a fresh perspective. A must listen!
