This podcast (the one you're looking at) is my (me) new favorite (most enjoyed/freshest) podcast
I follow the concept of podcast zero, which is an offshoot of inbox zero, a workflow method that says you should always deal with emails immediately and not let them sit in your inbox and accumulate as a to-do list, so I always try to listen to my podcasts immediately (but I only really listen to podcasts on my walk to work [which is about 30 minutes] and my walk home [same length] or during the workday, but I have trouble focusing on the words sometimes since I'm reading articles and whatnot which can lead to me forgetting to actually listen to anything and since I subscribe to about hundred podcasts (maybe less, I could go check) I tend to have a backlog, especially after a holiday or vacation (I just got back from a week in the Wisconsin Dells, which is a really great trip if you're in the Midwest during the offseason because all the indoor water parks are functioning still and there's not as many tourists as during the summer and prices are a little lower. I also went to The House on the Rock and I wonder if Roman Mars has ever done a podcast about the Wisconsin Dells or The House on the Rock and Wisconsin vernacular architecture (is vernacular the right word?). Anyway, I'm back to about 70 unplayed episodes in my feed even though I was finally below 30 when I left last week, so I've been avoiding subscribing to new podcasts while I work through my backlog (but a lot of those episodes are This American Life and Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me which I listen to on the radio on Saturdays so why do I feel the need to listen to them in podcast form again? Podcast Zero is a trap). Either way, I'm glad I subscribed to this podcast because Sarah Koenig is truly peerless in the podcasting industry, except for the work of her peers, whose work I very much admire. I'm very excited for the second episode to find out more about this envelope, though I do worry about sophomore slump and I am a big Serial defender and I'm still not sure where I've settled on Serial season two as a whole, but season three was really great, and sometimes you need to listen to stories that don't necessarily fit your interests in order to expand and challenge your worldview.Read full review »

Such a deep and informative story with plenty of side information to flesh out the characters. Thank you Alex Goldman for facilitating this project that is such a good use of Sarah’s time and energy.
