mixed feelings
The "we" in this conversation is problematic. I felt as though I was not supposed to be listening to it because i am queer and latino. the way they were talking, queer and other minorities were 'those other people'. when people are having public conversations they should always assume that everyone is listening. they were having a private conversation, not a public one.
