Fascinating and Informative
I’m hooked on this podcast. It’s a very well-rounded approach to the subject. Andrew Hickey’s commentary covers everything from the musical form itself (back beat, instrumentation, rhythmic patterns) to the sociology of the music business and the lives of the artists. And he points out the rampant racism and misogyny of the music business along the way. Mr. Hickey brings his incredible knowledge and insight to the work of the famous and some not-so-famous and helps the listener understand why their contributions are significant.
