fantastic overview of human history
I have listened to this podcast all the way through twice, and will probably do so again in the future. Each episode gives a quick glimpse into a particular human culture (many of which I knew little to nothing about, and some of which had never heard of), and taken together they paint a picture of the incredible range of human ingenuity over the millenia.

I find this series compelling because it touches the cardinal points of human evolution. And does so implicitly. Thus giving the listener a tool to form an informed opinion of a common humanity, an as yet unwritten destiny. Yes.

Brilliant podcast and narration, I enjoy listening to these with a cup of tea in the morning as a way to begin the day feeling very bright :) strongly recommended for any history lover or travel feind, a pleasure.

What they cover is good, but the problem is that they are 14 minute podcasts, with about 2.5 minutes being intro and concluding pre-fab bits. And most times I'm left wanting to know more about the object, the time it was from, concepts of how these people saw themselves and their world, etc....Read full review »
