New Title "Trying for 100"?
I presumed that there would be 100 shows. (By the way, the review that referenced the theft of 70 items should get 5 stars; hilarious) I liked what I heard in the first 30 and the online materials at the website with photos of the objects. I guess "30 objects" just didn't have the ring they wanted. Four stars for shorting us 70 shows.Read full review »

More reviews of A History of the World in 100 Objects
A really excellent series so far - fascinating insights into how much objects speak of the times they came from and people that made them. Thoroughly recommended. Well done the beeb! Perhaps we could have a little pic of the object on the podcast for the next bit of the series please??

These short investigations of human civilization, viewed through the lens of an object from the British Museum's collection, are a fascinating introduction to history and anthropology. I'll be sorry to see it end. (I'm also totally psyched to go to the Museum someday!)Read full review »
