“David puts forth some thoughtful challenges to Sayeeda around Islam and at every turn it’s dismissed by taking him on a circuitous abstract train of thought. Examples, treatment of women, homosexuality and the latest on Pakistan where Pakistan is compared to Israel. Well we do need to be honest about Pakistan, those who are not of the majority faith are not treated equally or fairly. The fact that there aren’t really that many people of other faiths should say it all. But the final nail in credibility on Sayeeda’s part was dismissing David’s points on - it being legal for men to beat their women (just a little) - she does what she always does when a critical and thoughtful response is what is needed instead we get some random abstract points. Disappointing, won’t be listening.”
