I was so pleased that this podcast was being made because I’d hoped that these two could prove, in a very small way, that where there is goodwill on both sides, there is a route to a lasting solution and peace in the Middle East. Unfortunately, although they are becoming friends as individuals,...Read full review »

Nice job Sayeeda insisting that the creation of Pakistan is not like the formation of Israel.

Thank you to you both for ‘going there’ week in, week out. I eagerly await each episode, as the presenters both articulate counter-arguments with excellent insight and eloquence. Thank you for giving me a voice David, and Sayeeda for helping me understand but not always agree with you. I am so...Read full review »

I wish David, as the representative Jewish person, actually knew enough history about the state of Israel to refute the misinformation presented. It seems like an attempt to sanction criticism of Israel with no regard for how the Arabs of the region were just as, if not more, responsible for the...Read full review »

The subjects & range of the discussion are excellent, but Baddiel needs to change his behaviour. Since the first episode, he has been interrupting Sayeeda Warsi & talking over her. This is unfortunate, because he is less informed than she is. But in recent episodes, this has got much...Read full review »

It’s refreshing to listen to the other side! Sayyda is so eloquent and polite. David annoys me sometimes when he interrupts her, even thought I’m often on his side.

The debate, discussion, questioning and information blend seamlessly to give an insight into very thorny issues, especially at this moment in time. I am very grateful to both presenters for the calm questioning and breadth of knowledge they present.

I am so happy that this podcast exists and *goes there*. Such valuable and often very enlightening conversations. Thank you.

Fascinating podcast. I feel that Baddiel does his absolute best to understand Sayeeda’s views yet it’s not always reciprocated. E.g. during latest pod about Gideon Falter I felt Baddiel was articulating brilliantly what a lot of us liberal-secular Jews feel - that how non-Jews feel about us...Read full review »

I had to stop listening after a few episodes. Baddiel puts forward nuanced and complex arguments on the rare occasions when Warsi is not interrupting his train of thought. The clarity of thought is very one sided. I am neither a jew or a muslim.

Two of the most problematic people in public life prove that one’s a problem, twos a nightmare. Utterly perplexing that there’s a demand for this kind of thing.

Should be renamed to “a Muslim and a random person that happens to be a Jew go nowhere and most Jews or Israelis will want to go” If you wanted to ride the wave of social awareness that well played but the Jew comments and ideas are so disconnected to most Jewish people that it’s embarrassing.

I love Sayeeda Warsi and usually really like listening to David Baddiel but David’s constant interruptions really spoil this podcast for me. Why not just let Sayeeda finish and then you can have your say?? In the last episode David even commented that he was waving at Sayeeda to stop her speaking...Read full review »

I’ve found the current conflict so difficult to understand as an outsider and your discourse is really helpful. Hearing healthy, educated arguments is essential. Thank you for this.

Super informative and what I find really refreshing is that the occasional disagreement is handled in a friendly and respectful way.

Updated: This podcast is now one of my faves. 2 presenters who disagree on a lot. 1 who seems to have become less defensive in time. This is what we need on many topics. Not a one off debate but weeks and weeks of real discussion. This is excellent. (My original review after 2/3 weeks: I hope in...Read full review »

This podcast deals with Israel-Gaza, Muslim-Jewish relations and Anti-semitism/Islamophobia is a balanced and human way. This is what the world needs right now. And I wish Sayeeda was PM!

Sayeeda is an absolute queen and a role model for all Muslim women. She comes with facts and has an answer for everything that is put to her. Love the podcast.

Absolutely love this podcast. Love that they are so honest and happy to challenge one another. So interesting for me as a non Muslim and non Jew. Much to learn and understand. Excellent!

Good in places but littered with inaccuracies, biases, blatant lies and rather obvious omissions. Both these people are neoliberals and their determination for things to stay the way they are shines through. Sayeeda carries David most of the time. Far more knowledgeable. He’s just not up to this...Read full review »

Just stumbled upon this podcast and it’s really thought provoking and brilliant that the two hosts respectfully yet firmly discuss pressing current events and acknowledge each other’s identity politics with facts and sensitivity.

Extremely interesting hearing from both very intelligent speakers on some topics that are vital to understand.

All of Sayeeda’s contributions are evidence based which only fortifies my admiration for her! David also makes some good points but tries to draw moral equivalence in situations where it’s untenable

Really appreciate this discussion…. I notice that David is much more willing to listen and process all sides … Sayeeda seems more on a soapbox without actually responding to specific points that David is asking about. The episode 28th March was the best so far as it was informative and there was a valid point with good discussion. Should it be called a Muslim

Whilst Baroness Sayeeda Warsi gives great insight and analysis and shows humility, David Baddeil could be much better at providing such content. I’m enjoying this grown up, nuanced discussion. It’s interesting, educational and informative. My mind is being opened. I appreciate the way that Warsi and Baddiel interact - not always agreeing - but having respect, and even affection, for each other.

Come for the debate, stay for Warsi’s beautiful accent. Netinyaah-hooo, the Eee-yoooo. She is informed, balanced, passionate and articulate - I could listen to her talk on these topics for hours, so it would be better if David let me listen to her for at a full uninterrupted sentence, but a...Read full review »

Is it only me who finds Warsi’s constant repeating of Baddiel’s first name highly irritating? I find Baddiel to be a much more erudite and interesting contributor.

I am sad to hear your co host misunderstanding again and again and equating Jewish people with Israeli people. It’s so redundant a perspective, I am a British atheist. I am so disappointed with her consistent and wilful disregard of a reasoned perspective. I admire your willingness to listen.

This is a unique podcast debating issues that are not properly discussed in the media well done!!!

As a Jew with no affiliation to Israel, what is he doing on this podcast. Often his responses seem insincere or he provides no push back/ challenge to some of Warsi’s outrageous comments. I for one don’t see any point to this podcast.

One party is more loquacious than the other. David Baddiel is a great raconteur and humorist who loves the sound of his own voice - his continued over talking of the eminently eloquent & intellectual Baroness Warsi is rude & demeaning & at times he borders on misogyny &...Read full review »
