“I don’t say this lightly, but this podcast is crucial for our current moment, and I applaud everyone involved in it for putting it together.
I really like how the two hosts are respectful and empathetic with each other - yet are unafraid to make their points. These kinds of conversations can be difficult but the benefits to having them can be huge, so it’s great that two high profile people have chosen to do this.
With a few political podcasts that have started up in the last few years, we have seen a real attempt to have difficult conversations, but to do so in a mature, reasoned and empathetic way. To disagree agreeably, some might say. In such polarised times, this civil and rational debate is essential, and I’m so glad this podcast exists.
I’ve always been a fan of David Baddiel, so his intelligent and funny work on the podcast is no surprise. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by Baroness Warsi, who is also very funny, and whose ability to empathise and still make her point is very impressive.
Overall, these are two intelligent and thoughtful people who have been tireless and wonderful campaigners having important conversations, what more could you want?
