Has potential - just not there yet.
A political talk show hosted by left-leaning presenters who touch on topical issues of today mostly in Australia but also around the world at times. The topics are often interesting and they have some good guests on. It could be great but they try too hard to be funny which results in some fairly awkward and clunky exchanges. They should just discuss the issues and when something funny arises naturally then enjoy it. There’s also a strong negative and cynical theme running throughout the podcasts and the presenters would do well to steer clear of such behaviour as its hard to listen to sometimes. A good litmus test for presenters is how much they talk over their guest and stop their guest from finishing their sentences to argue with them. This tends to happen regularly on this show. It’s hard going listening to a presenter talk over a guest. They need to try to remain calm and allow all people to finish their view points. In summary the podcast can be interesting and has the potential to be a witty irreverent take on local and international politics with interesting guests and view points, they just have some housekeeping and tidying up to work on to make it a great podcast.

Both Dan and Lewis are sharp witted satirists, and they attract high quality guests. Besides young comedians, it’s good to see occasional qualified specialist guests comment on a current political issue. Go, guys!

I was so excited to listen to this and persevered through the entire live show but it really just wasn’t funny. The cast thought so, and I’m really pleased for them, but some better writing would really help.
