“Long time listener first time reviewer, I was a huge fan of the previous podcast the Hype-men Which still is due for a reunion (maybe for Jensens book tour)
This podcast has gotten better with age like a fine wine. In the earlier episodes Eric and Jeff sometimes drown out the guest with interjecting their own stories. At times Jeff and Eric forget that the listener has heard earlier episodes and repeat the stories and remind you that they got their start in sketch comedy or that they are friends with such and such. Towards the later episodes around Sickamore they’ve really hit their stride in finding balance between new listeners and the core audience, in the way their stories are included.
The stories are not interjected as much as they are included where they fit, Hearing about the gruelling Rihanna tour for the 5th time becomes fresh and feels less ham fisted. The Aka’s and intro to the show are funny and always fresh. Some times the cuts can be a bit jarring the conversation could be lead a bit better but I think with most of their guests they could talk forever. I especially like their new bit on "when do you want the show to start…now” That said these guys are funny have a wealth of talent I will definitely continue to listen and you should to.”Read full review »
