Fun and intelligent banter
I heard out this podcast on Arielle’s Jeopardy episode, and I really enjoy it! I have always liked reading books that are made into movies...and I’m that person that used to say haughtily, “The book is ALWAYS better than the movie!!” This podcast has made me more cognizant of how I evaluate adaptations. In one of the first episodes, they said that they like to examine whether the book is better at being a book than the movie is at being a movie (or vice versa), and that has stuck with me. I love their perspectives and explanations, whether I always agree with the analysis or not. I have enjoyed a couple episodes of which I had neither read nor seen the adaptations, but I liked learning about the book anyway. And I love that this is inspiring me to read more books that I hadn’t considered reading before or just never got around to. I enjoy anticipating what books will come next as well. Keep up the great work!!

It must be a miserable existence to look at everything through a lens of how it offends you.

Starting listening to this show after hearing about it on Jeopardy. I haven’t missed an episode!!! The tone is lovely-slightly snarky with awesome banter! The ride to work has never been better!
