Loved the Howards End episode! Please, please cover Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and The Lord of the Rings.

I finally saw the newest version of A Star is Born and I wanted to hear a podcast comparing the different versions, all of which I've seen., so I googled, and it gave me this podcast. The hosts also linked me to another podcast and a video that were discussing aspects of their...Read full review »

Jeremy and Ari have such fun chemistry. Like a dinner party with the coolest couple you know. A great idea for a podcast and awesome programming choices. I can’t wait for it to come back from hiatus!

I recently came across this podcast and I love it! I’m picking my way through right now, listening to the episodes on things I’m familiar with, then my plan is to go back and listen to the rest. The hosts really make an effort to explain their opinions and the topic, and have voices that are...Read full review »

This is a go-to comfort podcast for me. I love the concept, and the hosts are excellent. Whenever I have a road trip to do, this is the first thing I put on. I highly recommend!

Like, stop, like, saying, like, the word ‘like’ like every, like, five, like seconds. It makes you sound like complete morons.

It’s just nice to have a podcast that feels like being back in an undergrad lit seminar, minus all the jerks. Ari and Jeremy are thoughtful

My partner got me to listen to the jaws episode and I was hooked after that. Great show. Funny, delightful, thoughtful commentary.

Kinda liked this podcast but just listened to the Robcop episode. Oh dear another sheltered middle class white couple with a young child who live in a little social media bubble. Bit of advice in the REAL world if you find a burglar in you house call the cops Not a councillor!

It must be a miserable existence to look at everything through a lens of how it offends you.

I really love the premise of the podcast, however the more I listen, the more irritating I find Arielle

This is a great podcast if you enjoy deciding if the movie did the book justice, which I always love debating! I’m a busy mom of four, and you’ve made folding laundry fun again. Much love and success to you both.

If you like books and movies and tv and adaptations of all kinds, this is a fabulous show. Arielle and Jeremy are so fun to listen to; I love their discussions and insights and I want to be their friend.

I am so glad I discovered this podcast. It’s so much fun. I love listening even when I’m not familiar with the pieces they’re reviewing! These two have become my happy place. And congrats on your new baby boy!!! Hooray!

This podcast is literally perfect for me and I love the hosts! Such a great way to discuss these awesome books and the many ways they’ve been adapted good or bad.

This husband and wife team take a look at entertainment properties and how they've been adapted. It's part book report and film critique, often gives some very insightful comments about the work they're reviewing, and since they start with properties that mean a lot to them personally...Read full review »

I don’t always agree with their opinions about the relative merits of different movies. But they put a LOT of work into preparing for each podcast, the choices they make are well-informed, and they are so much fun to listen to that I always look forward to a new episode. Keep ‘em coming!

This podcast is like a cup of hot chocolate for your soul. It’s warm, and sweet, and full of GREAT content. You’re both so passionate and it’s an absolute joy listening to you discuss books and films etc. I’m new to the podcast but I’ll definitely be hanging around! Lots of love from Wales xx

Are the hosts really as stupid as they seem in The Ten Commandments episode? They brag like stereotypic frat boys about how they didn’t do their homework. They ignore the entire discipline of biblical studies—with its historical, philological, literary and archeological components—and then...Read full review »

Starting listening to this show after hearing about it on Jeopardy. I haven’t missed an episode!!! The tone is lovely-slightly snarky with awesome banter! The ride to work has never been better!

I always enjoy the feeling that I get to hang out with Jeremy and Arielle every other week and talk about books, movies, theater, and more. These are two smart cookies who bring a lot of insight to everything they discuss. But the best part is how much they make each other laugh. <3
hcyrus via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/04/19
The research and effort that goes into these episodes is amazing! It makes for really entertaining discussion and a good reference point for knowing which adaptations to check out and which to skip.

I heard out this podcast on Arielle’s Jeopardy episode, and I really enjoy it! I have always liked reading books that are made into movies...and I’m that person that used to say haughtily, “The book is ALWAYS better than the movie!!” This podcast has made me more cognizant of how I evaluate...Read full review »

Really enjoy listening to you both. Fun, funny and good insights. Regarding The Producers, loved the first movie and the Broadway show. Had tickets for the show but didn’t get a chance to see it. Love the format. Entertaining and engaging regardless of whether you are familiar with the specific media of the week. I like to "play along" with what is coming next, but even when I don't have time to catch up I can listen and just enjoy. Keep it up!Read full review »

I really like the back and forth going on so far. The passion and the information to come out of the first episode alone makes me excited for episode two (no pressure). Production quality is great too.
