Would be so much better with more prep and fewer ad breaks

“Interviewer generally sounds as if he's minimally prepared for the interview, and hasn't got a plan in place, which is unfortunate. If you're interviewing someone with encyclopedic life experience like Lin Pardey, you have to prepare. You have to know a LOT about her so you can guide the flow and focus of the interview and podcast, and not end up off in the weeds, missing the key insights. If you're interviewing Amie Begg, it's not funny if you keep mispronouncing a simple name like "Maranon"; it just makes you sound unprepared. You cannot over-prepare for these interviews. But you can interject way too much of your own uninteresting life experiences. And unannounced ad breaks really destroy the flow of the podcast.”Read full review »
