Daily design talk served with a healthy dose of redneck wisdom.
One thing that everyone needs in this life is someone to give it to you straight and offer another perspective. I don't always see eye to eye on things, but i think that is why i love hearing his thoughts. I need to be challenged in how i look at design and life. I believe that Mark and his montley crew do just that. He has built an underground empire that is posed to replace the stuffy shop talk that we all got from school. The best part is he is constantly cultivating the lineup. Trying to bring new voices in and share how they are designing their lives. It's not just a show about design and type. Though we all know Billy would love for it to be (that or talk soccer the whole time.) Mark is always looking for ways to bring more and more to the show. It's not a poster design podcast. I don't think that it ever was. Posters were a common thread woven through, but it is more about building a life and a career that you want. Jump in. Subscribe. I pay for the COT content because there is nothing like learning from others that have been there. The light shed on what you might just be struggling with in your own career is worth at least 50cent a day. Always a student of life, Mark has become an amazing teacher.Read full review »
