The hosts are well researched and the guests are inspiring… (well most of them). The contrast between private citizen guests and most of the political guests/government representatives (in terms of social awareness, service orientation and emotional intelligence), is stunning.

Allan…your deep dive into these stories is excellent…it gives more contents to these issues…something the regular news cast don’t do…keep up the great work!

The people running the podcast seem to do their research, but the guests are ignorant to a point of frustration. The fact that many of them are politicians makes it even worse.

A most brilliant interview by Alan Kasujja that is with 2 j’s and former Botswana president. All the three Queen episodes are excellent. Along with Africa daily always!

Honestly, the best Africa coverage the BBC does. Far better than the sometimes arrogant, ignorant, unselfaware reports some UK born correspondents send back… My only suggestion would be that since it often sounds like the people being interviewed are on a phone line, you often have to concentrate...Read full review »

I always look forward to the African Daily which is why I feel inclined to share my disappointment n the Tour de France episode. It began with the reporter informing us that she despises cycling. Not a very positive note to begin on. She missed reporting how Italy and France view bicycling as a...Read full review »

What a show! Alan introduces me to the most unexpected topics, and with his excellent interviewing skills, always brings out interesting information I would never have stumbled into on my own. I do not see any equivalent podcast on African issues that can compete. It has become a staple.

Africa Daily has become as necessary as brushing my teeth. Investigating, interesting and intelligent journalism. Happy one year birthday and keep up the brilliant work!

Only challenge for me is that the topics are sometimes not the most relevant. Adding more of realism, truly local touch and deep ‘pains’ would even make this better.

I love this podcast. It is really a gift to be able to hear very well-researched discussions of complex topics presented in ‘bite-size’ chunks.
