A new approach to old mysteries
Although it’s a joy to have found this fantastic new podcast so early on, I’m now left gutted that I’ve already listened to all the available episodes! The hosts, Anthony and Madeleine, bring credibility and historical expertise to topics which rarely get such well-researched commentary, instead often being spoiled by conjecture and rumour (I understand some people like that and I’m not bashing it, but I prefer to be unsettled by things that I know for a fact have happened). The two hosts already have good chemistry and I can’t wait to hear their on-mic dynamic develop further as the podcast progresses. The episodes are a great length, really interesting and will hook you right in. I would say I have quite a high level of knowledge of most of the subjects discussed (except the HMS Terror- what an incredible story, I can’t believe I’ve never heard it before!), but still heard new things in each episode. All in all this was exactly what I’d hoped for when I set out looking for a new podcast this evening; I’m just going to have to re-listen to all the episodes (a difficult task which I am willing to endure) whilst I await the next one.
